The 4 modal arpeggios
There are four fundamental modal arpeggios.
- Major 7th
- Dominant 7th
- Minor 7th
- Minor 7b5

These arpeggios are constructed from the root, 3rd, 5th, and 7th degrees from each mode.
Applying the modal arpeggios
There are 7 major scale modes, and you can assign a modal arpeggio to each of them. Play the corresponding modal arpeggio from the root position of each mode.
Major 7th
The Major 7th arpeggio is built from the root position of the Ionian and Lydian modes.
Dominant 7th
The Dominant 7th arpeggio is built from the root position of the Mixolydian mode.
Minor 7th
The Minor 7th arpeggio is built from the root position of the Dorian, Phrygian, and Aeolian modes.
Minor7b5
The Minor7b5 arpeggio is built from the root position of the Locrian mode.
